Teachers Speak: “I Am Human.”

Sunday Special

Teachers Speak: “I Am Human.”

Mathivation Research Lab Initiative

Opening

Today, the teacher is not teaching.

Today, the teacher is speaking.

Not about syllabus.

Not about discipline.

Not about behavioural frameworks.

Just something simple.

I am a human.

I am not a machine.

The Voice of a Teacher

I get tired.

I feel overwhelmed.

I sometimes overthink one sentence I said in class.

I carry:

  • 40 student moods
  • 10 parent expectations
  • Administrative deadlines
  • My own personal life

All at once.

And sometimes…

I just need a Sunday.

The Soft Reminder

Please have empathy.

Please understand pauses.

Please allow imperfection.

Teachers are not AI systems with infinite battery.

We recharge too.

We laugh too.

We switch off too.

And today -

No learning.

No moral.

No equation.

Just rest.

Closing Line

Before I am a teacher,
I am a person.

And today,
I choose to enjoy my Sunday.

Human First. Behaviour Conscious.

    1. Thank you so much for your thoughtful words. 🙏🏻
Yes, in the rhythm of responsibility, we sometimes forget the simplest truth - that we are human first.
If this piece helped even a gentle reminder, it has served its purpose.
      With gratitude,
      Rakesh Kushwaha
