The train was slightly crowded, and for the first time in many days, I could not get my usual window seat. A stranger occupied the seat along with a boy who appeared to be around ten years old. The boy was sleeping deeply. It was not the relaxed sleep of a child enjoying a journey. It looked more like the sleep of someone whose routine had been interrupted.
