Casteism Layer1 Index Page: A Poisonous Poison

A Poisonous Poison| Casteism

A Boon or Curse?

A Six-Part Reflective Series
by Rakesh Kushwaha

Introduction

Casteism - a poisonous poison that has shaped India for centuries.

Some call it tradition.

Some call it identity.

Some call it a system.

But for those who have lived through its many layers,

it becomes an experience of pain, adjustment, confusion, survival, and sometimes, silent rebellion.

This series is not built on books or borrowed ideas.

It flows from my eyes, ears, memories, and lived reality -

• from a remote village to South Mumbai,

• from district boards to international universities,

• from childhood innocence to adult introspection.

It is a journey through six layers of casteism -

from its cruel roots to its polished urban version,

from visible discrimination to invisible profiling,

from local identity to global freedom.

Each part carries a different truth, a different observation, and a different turning point in my understanding of humanity.

This series is not written to blame or hurt anyone.

It is written to understand, reflect, observe, and awaken.

A humble attempt to hold a mirror in front of society —

and also in front of myself.

Why This Series Matters

Because casteism still lives in:

• our questions

• our habits

• our tone

• our introductions

• our circles

• our traditions

• our comfort zones

And healing begins with:

awareness, reflection, courage, and compassion.

If this series touches even one reader’s heart,

if it sparks dialogue or introspection,

its purpose is fulfilled.

Disclaimer

This series is purely educational and motivational.

The intention is not to target, blame, or hurt anyone.

It simply reflects lived experiences to help society understand itself more deeply.

With Gratitude

Thank you, Universe,

for providing me courage, clarity, and insight

to bring these reflections into words.

Thank you, dear reader,

for walking with me through all six layers.
