Sometimes a question is perfectly simple.
Yet the answers become increasingly complicated.
Not because the question is difficult...
But because everyone interprets it differently.
One misunderstanding becomes another.
One assumption produces another.
Until finally...
the original question disappears completely!

Opening Thought
"The biggest communication problem is not that people don't answer. It is that they answer a question that was never asked."
Case Study
One morning, an education inspector visited a school.
He entered a classroom.
The students stood up together.
"Good morning, Sir!"
The inspector smiled.
He decided to ask a simple question from Indian literature.
He looked at one nervous boy and asked,
"Can you tell me... who broke Shiva's bow?"
The poor boy immediately stood up.
His face turned pale.
His voice trembled.
"Sir..."
"I swear..."
"I didn't break it!"
The whole class burst into laughter.
The inspector looked surprised.
He turned towards the class teacher.
"Is this how your students understand literature?"
The teacher scratched his head thoughtfully.
Then said very sincerely,
"Sir...
I have taught this boy for three years.
He may forget his homework.
He may lose his notebook.
But one thing I can assure you...
He never lies."
The inspector frowned.
The teacher continued,
"So if he says he didn't break it...
I believe him."
The inspector could not believe his ears.
He marched straight to the Principal's office.
"Your school has a serious academic problem!"
The Principal adjusted his spectacles calmly.
"What happened, Sir?"
The inspector narrated the entire incident.
The Principal listened carefully.
Then leaned forward and whispered,
"Sir...
Please don't worry so much."
"If the bow is really broken...
Tell me only one thing."
"Can it be repaired...
Or shall we purchase a new one from the school fund?" 😄
The inspector remained silent.
For a few seconds...
Nobody spoke.
The question had travelled through four educated people.
Yet somehow...
Nobody had answered the original question.
And all because...
Everyone was solving a different problem!
THIS IS TOO MUCH!

An accusation.
The teacher heard:
A discipline issue.
The Principal heard:
A financial issue.
Only the inspector had asked:
A literature question.
The question never changed.
The interpretation changed every time.
